Aftermarket Stereo systems?

Aftermarket Stereo systems?

has anyone found a cd changer that takes up the whole space of where the stock stereo is without having to buy an ugly kit for it. or any suggestions on how i can fill up the whole space without a kit. any help would be appriceated. and any pictures of what some of you guys have.

IMHO the double din systems look worse than the adapter kit.
I put in a Kenwood Dmask Excelon and the adapter and I think it looks better than the factory fat a$$ stock looking POS

The fords are din and a half not double,double will fit with a little work.

Actually they aren't a din and a half either. its about 1 3/4. Either way you can mount a double din radio in there with some effort, and trimming. Personally I would just do a din sized radio, and fab up some plexi to trim it out.

This is a Kenwood Excelon X859 with the head closed. I've considered getting a piece of colored plex or smoked plexi to go across the top pocket and have a Kenwood decal on it with some backlights so that at night it will spell out Kenwood.

http://www.selectproducts.com sells ABS plastic trim pieces that you can stick to the adapter. They come in all sorts of wood and metal designs. Your local dealer might carry their products.

you could always go with Eclipse and fill that in with a screen and dvd player
