Oil sep. mod , 1 days use, pics

Im so glad I opted for this 60 dollar mod now. Its trapped this much oil in one day! I did the mod after 20k miles so Im guessing I should take my TB apart and polish the crud out thats probably built up. What the hell was ford thinking not protecting the blower from the oil? Anyone get this much after 1 day as well?

Had mine on for about 4 weeks now.

I had twice that much oil in the first 3 miles.
And during the first week it was getting 1/2 full after 400-500 miles.

Now I'm just emptying it once a week. (500-600miles)

Also, I've noticed a direct cooralation (sp?) between how much boost/hard driving you do and how much oil is in there. I've done 500 miles w/no boost and had less than is in your pic. On the other hand I've done a lot of PSI and in 15 miles it's 1/2 full.

Keep an eye on it for the first week then check it every fillup.

Unhappy

You get banned for saying where you bought stuff?

Sounds mighty strict to me! And where I come from it's a good thing to attach a "name" to a product or service you sell or make.

But e-mail me at wydopnthrtl@yahoo.com and I'll gladly tell anyone where I spent my $50

wydopnthrtl- You don't live in Florida so don't worry about getting banned (sorry Doug, just kidding :o )

Yeah Konig, it does depend on how you drive your L. I did the same mod this weekend (From Lowe's). Spent about $30 for the inline filter and fittings and hose clamps. Didnt really think it was going to work to well.....but what a surprise. Drove it 25 miles and had 1/4 inch in the bottom of the bowl...LOL. Didnt realize how much oil was getting sucked up through there til now.

Seems that if all that oil is getting sucked into the engine and burned, you would have to add oil every other day! I have not yet done the seperator mod, but I know my oil level stays pretty consistent.

Thats what I was wondering about... seems like a bunch of wasted oil every week, is this oil seperate from the normal engine oil? Would I need to eventually fill something? I dont usually drive her very hard, but when its GO TIME its GO TIME.. , I'am running 10lbs though so that may be part of it as well.

spankdog, didnt actually check on that...just making a subtle point

I was thinking the same thing, if this much oil does go through here, why isnt my oil level changing?
