Just want to say hi to everyone and I have a good topic? Who do you let drive your Li
Just want to say hi to everyone, I' am still in the hospital on whatever they pump into me. I' am a little worried at the time of the accident I weighed 128 Lbs and now I' am down to 90. After the surgery and the heart attack all went to hell in a hand basket. It is amazing a 26 yearold could sling 75 Lb 7 7/8 rig bits with little effort now can't hardly wheel his wheelchair. I'am really worried is the end here? My friend whom was twice my size at the time of his snowmobileing accident lost 15 Lbs when he was in the hospital and he claimes that probly did him good. Anyway, Instead of entertaining you guys by reading my lifes problems.
Heres a good question?
Who do you let drive your Lightning?
P.S.
Believe it or not the Owner and General and Sales manager of the Dealership were I sent my brother to put the deposit on the 03 Sonic Blue Lightning stopped in at the hospital to see me, it was a emotional visit because both the Owner and Sales manager knew me from when I could walk and it tore them up inside to see me in the shape I was in. I think I' am getting depressed. Please e-mail me at bluelightning@lightningowner.com
with any questions you may have or just want to talk, My laptop computer has CDPD internet therefore uses cellular waves to transmit so I always have internet. Thanks for all your support guys. I don' t want to talk to family, doctors , nurses anymore I just want to talk through my computer because it is a form of unconditional love from other fellow mankind.

To your question here we go:
I am 20 and only let one person drive it and that is my girlfriend....it's cool because we have been together 4 years effective on the 25th....she was actually the one that told me to get the Lightning and not the Harley....I thank her for that that's for sure because this truck is the ****....anyway so ya she drives it...funny thing is that when she goes to get me something to eat
she always says that some guy wants to race her...damn that sux cuz i can really never find a race. I was thinking that maybe I should let her drive around town with me hiding in the passenger seat and when some sucker wants to race just bust out and get in the drivers seat LOL.....
Also my dad and mom drive my L sometimes to go to Home Depot ...that's about it....the people i care about the most get to drive my truck
OH also my uncle that works w/my mom and dad's business...He takes the truck in for tire changes LOL

Pat,
You've been an inspiration for all of us, keep that positive attitude Buddy. I know that’s easy for me to say, but you were doing great a week ago, please don't get depressed on us now.
This is a normal process you’re going through, unfortunately like loosing a loved one, there are stages you will go through, and this is one of them. The main thing is to realize it's a normal process and not dwell on it. A train hit a good friend of mine when we were kids and although he lost his ability to walk. That SOB has done everything we all do AND THEN SOME. Once he even got arrested for Breaking and Entering
The town we grew up in, Malverne, donated to him a beautiful custom van to drive around in, he was a regular at all the Town Hot Spots, and now many years later, he has a great job, wife, and family. Once I even saw the sick bastard tugging alone with a rope on the back of someone’s car going down the road at like 30 MPH. He's still as sick a person as he was when he walked and NOTHING has been outside his grasp. He always loved Motor Cycles, and I believe he may have even bought a trike now.
"We're all behind you MY LIGHTNING BROTHER"
I don't know what town or city your in, but I'm sure when the time comes, we can arrange for a Lightning to come take you home, just to let you know, that life will go on, and you still will be able to feel the joy of the Supercharger we've all come to know and Love, Just like we've come to know and Love You.
We're here for you pal, you got tons of friends that care.

As you were sayimg about going home in a lightning, I' am. that friend of mine that is in a wheelchair drives a Lightning and on the day I get out if it is nice I will be going home in the Lightning if it is your typical Canadian fall there should be 2 ft of snow falling and I will be going home in Dads King Ranch.

I only let hot women drive it.
I think I should ad to what I said. I had this girlfriend once. Some of you might remember me complaining about how she always told me she hated the L. Well she was 18 and didnt have a license. She would get even more mad at me because I wouldn't teach her to drive in it. She was HOT (the only reason I kind of miss her). But I wasn't about to let someone who has never driven before take a 380hp truck out for there first driving lesson. Anyways, we broke up. In conclusion , I only let hot girls that drive well drive my truck ... to date, I have only found one. And from this point on I will only date girls that dig fast trucks.

There are three people that can drive my L. Me, Myself, and you know who. Dude keep us posted on your trek to getting well. I personally live in South Louisiana but I would be willing to bet that our board members who live closer to you would be willing to assemble a caravan of L's to accompany you on the drive home....now that would be cool.
One day you will face a challenge and wonder if you can overcome it. When that day comes you will be able to look back at what you have already overcome and you will know that you can accomplish anything. Stay strong and get well.

I have probably let around 11 or 13 people drive my lightning in the past 2 and half years. Most of them family and about 5 of my really close friend's now out of those friend 3 of them have actually driven it from point A to point B, the others were just aorund the corner. The most famous one was Cliff Williams from ACDC, i spent three nights at his house and he wanted to drive it.
Black2000L, that is awsome!
There was somebody that posted a thread about how he let a friend drive his L and he fishtailed and wrecked into some tree's ... makes you kind of want to second guess letting others drive the L

4000 miles and I'm still thew only driver. If I were to let anyone drive it I think I would let my dad. I tell my wife she can drive it but she says,"its UGLY and she wouldn't want to drive it anyway."
Let's see, the last time I let my wife drive it she pegged the speedo. I've let my mother and father drive it. I've let a customer drive it as a loaner when he needed his truck worked on. A couple of local friends with Lightnings have driven it also.
Teri (my fiance) can drive it whenever she wants.Heck ,she even races it.She had a 12.82 before the latest mods. She is going to race it in the U.S against Imports next week.
