Thumbs down DG Motorsports, Caveat Emptor

I recently ordered a carbon fiber radiator cover and wire loom cover from DG Motorsports. I received it last Friday and excitedly unwrapped my new toy. Admittedly, this was an impulse purchase. I've never been a fan of carbon fiber, but thought maybe it would look good in the engine compartment. Anyway, I unwrap it and there's a scratch, areas that you could see through, and a couple of marks presumably used for measurement. Odd, because the fit really sucked. I had to trim a couple areas just to make it fit right.

In summary.....overpriced, bad fit, bad craftsmanship.

Good luck.

I just checked out one today and it looked and fit really good, the only part that needed trimming was the Solenoid cover.

Just my .02

Yeah, next time i'll do a little more homework. To tell the truth, i'm a lil embarassed. But since i've noticed a couple people talking about their bigger items, I thought I might give 'em a heads up.

It really looked like the fiberglass or epoxy or whatever is used in the process was poured over the OEM piece, dried, and shipped.

I can only speak from experience but I have seen 3 of their hoods and compared them to many of my friends CF hoods for their cars, and these are superior in every way. Fit, finish, ease in installation, everything. It took a little longer than I expected to arrive but it was worth the wait my DG hood is awesome.

I am not completely happy with my hood, but I have never had a hood fit so well! Hood has a couple of flaws in it. If you contact them they should help you out.

I just put mine in and the only piece I had a problem with was the Solenoid cover but nothing a dremel with a cut-off wheel wouldn't fix.
Everything else is just perfect...

Damn I love carbon fiber!!

Mine had a little X in one spot - looks like it's from the mold - otherwise was fine. I had to dremel the tabs for the wire cover, but that took about 2 minutes...
