I have a 5.4 xlt regcab flairside ..I know its not an L but they are practically brothers! So help me out please. I put 02 L wheels on my 99 with a 3/4 drop..well I need spacers because the tires are too wide and rubbing the control arm when i turn the wheel almost all the way...well at the same time I think its time to replace my front rotors..I think they are warped. NOW here's my question rather than go with spacers etc. could I just replace my front brakes with those of an 02 L. AM I correct in assuming they are thicker as well as larger in diameter? If so I think this would correct my problem. I assume all I would need is rotors, calipers and pads? Is this correct and if so does anyone have part #?s. Also I think this would be a cool mod..since I will have calipers off the truck I am going to bead blast them smooth paint gloss black to match my truck and have the ford logo engraved and painted silver on the calipers.
