Looking for previous ’01 owner from Ohio

Hello everyone. I’ve been viewing this site for about 1 year and I finally got my white ’01 Lightning this past weekend. I’d like to find the old owner just to verify everything he’s done. I was told that he put a 6# pulley, Diablo chip by JL, ram air and filter kit and a Bassani exhaust. He was also nice enough to leave slicks in the back for me. Anyone know who owned this beautiful machine before me?

I’m also looking for a CD changer / or stock single player if anyone has one for sale.

Thanks,
Scott

Congrats on the new ride.
I have a stock changer out my '01 L that I'd be happy to part with. Make me an offer via e-mail.

Check the Storange Bin behind the passangers seat. The CD changer is in there. CD changers are std equipment in Lightnings.

Good luck with that 6# pulley!

I checked every crack and corner and I'm positive there is no CD changer in the L...maybe he just took it out.
I’m actually a little worried about the 6# pulley…I’m doing a lot of research on it now. I might end up taking it out.

I didn’t get the SVT certificate with the truck. Is that something the first owner only gets or can I get one from SVT?

Thanks for the help guys, great site!

Adding to this.....they were an option in 99 and 00's standard from 01 on.

---if he had some subs in the back he may of removed the stock cd changer and never put it back in.

Call 1-800-fordsvt and get the fax number. Just fax them your registration and in a few weeks you will get the certificate.

Call SVT @ 1-800-FORD-SVT (800 367-3788) and give them your VIN. They will give you your build number and date. Post it here and I'll see if it was registered on this site or nloc.org.

You might also run a Carfax on it. Post it similar to this:

BTW – I was in Sheboygan for the first time earlier this year. Nice town. Liked the Kohler Museum and the Kohler tour and showroom. Had lunch a Whispering something-or-other golf course north of town.

You should also make sure the truck has a warranty still.

I don't have 2001 #940 on my list (https://www.f150online.com/forums/sh...995#post674995), and I don't see it over at nloc.net. I put you on my list.

OBTW - Welcome!
