New Best Time, future mods?

I headed back to the track with the same mods, Chip, 4# Pulley, Accufab T/B and Mac Filter kit. I am still running on the Factory F1's and the truck has about 2600 miles on it.

Previous best was a 8.37@83.3 with a 1.86 60 ft

With the cooler weather I was able to fo a 8.25@84.9 with a 1.88 60ft.

New mods:
REM 6# pulley, REM Chip, NGK TR6 plugs, Nitto Drag Radials, Lakewood Traction bars, and Metco DS Loop.

I am going to try to get these on the truck this week.

Anyone have any idea how much these mods should improve my times?

1.86 60ft on F1's? or 1.86 40 ft time? I don't know how anybody can get 1.86 60ft on F1's. Did you put compound on the tires and heat them up with a blow torch? Was it downhill? Don't mean to be a wise a$$, just curious. Tell us your secrets.

I dont think mine is any secret.....I go around the water box if possible, and do a lite burnout and stage VERY shallow. I do a little longer burnout if I have to go through the water, and I do it off to the side of the groove and drive into the groove rigth before I stage. The other thing is roll into the throttle smoothly. I think the main trick is the last two, stage shallow and roll into the throttle.

The problem I have with racing on the F1's or any radial is trying to be consistant. Firday night, I went a 1.93, a 1.88, and 1.90. I went a 1.92 when the truck was bone stock. The pass I went the 1.86 on the truck went an 8.39. That was the previous time at the track.

I do pretty much the same thing. May be your L is making less power because of altitude or something or the track is like glue. I found that I got better 60ft when mine was stock. I race at Englishtown NJ where the track conditions are usually good and it is pretty close to sea level. I don't know. I saw another post where the guy said he got a 1.79 60 ft time on F1's. I find that hard to believe. I used to launch a Mustang on slicks and barely get into the 1.7's. I know they are two different animals but I don't know......

My best 60ft ever is 2.05. This past Sunday with a 25 mph head wind it ran the best of 12.89 @ 107.8 with a 2.07 60 ft. Going back there wednesday, supposed to be light wind. F1's are a little tired right now. I have to try some other ways of launching. I try to launch about 1000 rpm. Any higher and the tires go up in smoke.
