Talking new best 1/4 mile time

well last week in 78 degree weather and good traction i ran a 7.87 1/8th. so this week i went to the 1/4 mile with muchbetter weather (62 degrees). my hoosiers no longer work at all. i spun literally all the way thru 1st gear and some in 2nd and i still managed to get a 1.807 60' 7.942@87.49 and a 12.422 @ 109.14. i guess its time to either pull the sway bar and try that or buy bigger slicks. i know it coulda went 12.2 or maybe a 12.1. but thats all i got for now. new times coming very soon.

I"m jeaous of your times. I did 13.1's all day@87* and had a cooler full of sodas and had my gas engine scooter in the back on F1''s do'ing 1.8 60 foots leaving easey

I had a great day. I'm happy!

Take all the weight off and give me slicks the truck would do 12.5's hot lapping. If not 12.4's@87*

Dan, i was at jackson s.c. i do wanna come to sdr very soon. im tired of jackson they dont display times on the boards like sdr. i like showing off my numbers hahaha. but since the stall the hoosiers just plain will not hold up, no matter how i launch. i launched at 1200 and didnt even get it to the floor be4 the 1-2 shift and still went 7.93 and a 12.44. i ran 3 times all with different kinds of launches and ran a 12.46,12.44, and a 12.42.

cal 40, those r pretty good times 13.1 on f1s in that heat is very respectable. keep up the modding and good luck with the times. get some tires and come join the 12 second club, i know u will soon regardless tires or not.

hey rusty

hey rusty, if we can ever get together at the douglas track, if you don't care, i wouldnt mind trying out your hoosiers to see how well they hook on my truck, i guess you are obviously gonna get some bigger ones and i might take them off your hands if they got anything left in them.....and they might since i got "considerably" less HP than you.............

Hey Rusty
Nice run, and congratts

What psi are you running your Hoosiers at??

I run the same slicks and get 1.64 60 foot times. I run mine at 17 psi cold and make sure I keep them at 17psi

Maybee it was just poor track prep the day you ran.

hey mac, that would be fine if you wanna try them out on your truck to see what itll do, i dont care.

don, i usually run 17 this night i started at 17 then went to 15 then to 12 and let me tell u 12 is a little wild. i think 17 is fine. im hoping is was just a 1 night deal. but this track usually hooks very very well. i believe with weather like it was and good prep i should been in the 1.65-1.69 range. im gonna try soaking these tires and seeing what happens then. i have some prep that i used to run on go karts im gonna give a shot once. ( ill try anything once)hahaha. if that dont do it im gonna unhook the sway bar.

Nice times.....I'm planning on going to the track tonight, gonna see if my JL intake makes a difference. It's a lot cooler than the last time I went so I hope it should get me some 13's.
