any new pics to report other than the simple body pics? Any interior pics of the new steering wheel or the metal accents?

I would love to see some pics myself. I put one on order last week and they didn't have squawt on it. Heck the salesman new less about it than I did.

He told me that since they only had an alotment of of 12 L's, they usually didn't get brochures. He told me that their L's usually disapear off the lot so quick, they would have them all gone before getting brochures in anyway...LOL.

I'll bookmark this thread and if he gets me anything I'll post some pics. I may have my truck first...if I do I'll take pics new and post them.

P.S. BTW, the photo is from this month's MM&FF magazine.

Oh, and Job1 date is supposed to be November 4 which means L's should start hitting showrooms (best case scenario) by early to mid december, but I don't have expect to see them until January or so.

 

I know it may have been said before, but these trucks are looking more and more like IS300's everday. We have the taillights, fake suede seats, "race" pedals, and who knows what is next.

I just hate being referred to as "American Rice" or "Ricer Wannabe".

The worst thing is when I show the truck to all my friends, and every single one of them mentions I should ditch the taillights!! I think I will have to find some new friends, cause the lights are part of the whole Lightning "experience".

hmm superford not doubtin you man but that doesn't really look like a new L to me. Given it probably is but arn't the new L's supposed to have the 6-disc in dash cd players? It isn't shown in those pics but maybe it wasn't added in to that truck yet. No word of new pedals but that would be cool. Too bad that steering wheel is the exact same one thats on my explorer sport right now! I'd rather have an '02 all and all!

The dealer did tell me that the new L has a 6 disc in dash...but the cassett player is out.
They also said something about billet door handles...so maybe the brake and gas peddals may be in the deal also.
They gave me the November Production date also, but the dealer seemed to think it may get here as early as the first week in December...I'm not going to hold my breath. First of January seems more likely.

yep, normally they say 4 weeks after the start of production, but with it being limited production and built way up in Canada and all of that I'd suspect a longer wait. plus that is when they usually come out, first of the year (jan/feb/mar)

I just noticed you had 2 on order...red or blue.

I ordered a Black one but the sonic blue had me curious. The dealership I ordered from had a sonic blue Mustang on the lot. It was kind of a cool color. You could walk around the car and the blue almost took on a purple look from certain angles.

My concern was what it would look like on a big truck. I worried that it might not work for the Lightning. That would be a whole lot of purple..or was it blue...LOL.

I know exactly what you mean about a big truck.

I LOVE the sonic blue color on the Cobras and SVT focus, but we also have a few rangers and even some F-350 duallys on the lot in Sonic Blue and I'm not sold.

i love the color but I'll have to see it on the L before I decide, thats why I ordered 2!
