03 cobra motor in a 97 cobra

When i went to a performance shop here in Ga. (MVperformance), A couple of the techs showed me a 96 cobra that was having an 03 cobra motor installed. I thought it was pretty neat, the car was clean and had a very nice suspension set up..Even the techs were amazed at how the guy found the motor. He got it off of EBAY for about $8K..

One thing I forgot to ask them was how the heck will that motor work in conjunction w/ that 5spd drivetrain? Wouldn't he also have to buy the 6spd tranny also?? Maybe you guys would know

I don't know about any of you guys, but I love 6-speeds...they are so much fun to drive. If it was feasable(sp?) I would fabricate something for the L. But if I had an 03 cobra motor going into anything, you can bet a 6 speed would be going with it.

raydens cloud, they still have that car there???? it was yellow wasnt it? they had that car there on the lift when i did my dyno tuning and that was like 2 months ago or a little longer actually closer to 3. i hope it dont take them 3 months to put my motor in when i get all of it done. it was a good setup in that yellow cobra though. just find it interesting someone on this board went to mv performance besides me. tim tuned the chip im running now and man its really running strong now.
