Question Coolant capacity

I have a 2002 True Blue. I'm in the process of installing an Elect fan and water pump and will need to replace the coolant. The owner's manual and SVT supplement say the capacity is 25.5 quarts (i take that as half anti-freeze and half distilled water). I went to a dealer and they told me no way this capacity is correct and that it would hold no more than approx 1.6 gallon A/F, and the same for water? To be sure how much have any of you had to replace from experience? I will be draining the radiator and block.

What, you listened to a dealer?

The amount listed in your Lightning owner's manual is correct, for a bone dry system. Best thing to do is mix up a couple of gallons of 50/50 mix, refill for effect and try not to worry about exact amounts, just gonna give yourself heartburn over nothing.

When I made the swap, I poured in one gallon of antifreeze, one gallon of distilled water, and topped it off with another 2/3 of a gallon of antifreeze.....

The 25.5 Qrts is your raidiator, hoses, engine block, and heater core.
