Question Question for those running 15" slicks...

I'm looking at getting some 15"x10" wheels and clearancing my calipers over the winter. Is anyone running the 28x12.5x15 MT ET Streets? I'm just wondering if they fit, or if they are too wide. The 28x11.5x15's recommend an 8" wide wheel, so I think that the entire tread patch may not contact the ground if I mount them on the 10" wide wheels, but maybe I'm wrong. I just don't want to buy the tires to find out that they don't fit.

If you are going to the trouble of grinding your calipers don't waste your effort on an ET Street. Run a true slick. So many sizes and compounds and manufacturers to choose from in a 15".

Well, the reason that I was going to run the ET Streets is because I like to run in the street class at the wed. night drags out here, and DOT tires are required. I also want to run a 28" tall tire. I'm planning on going with some true slicks at a later time when my ET drops some more and I switch to the Comp. class. I just figured that I might as well only buy one set of wheels and be done with it, and I like having a much better choice of slicks with the 15's. So, do you guys know if the 28x12.5x15 would fit?

Yes it will work fine. In reallity you will have around a 10-10.5 inch wide tire. The DOT tires are not as big as they are rated. That would be a really good size tire to run IMO. I want a 28x12.5x16 Hoosier or MT Street tire.
