4.10's mph

For anyone running 4.10's what are you other mods, and what is your 1/4mi mph?

With the 3.55's I feel I am giving up some mph in the 1/4. I am only turning 4300rpm going through the lights with the OD off. Thinking of a converter and 4.10's this winter. Want to get over 110mph.

Thanks 99. I was hoping to see some higher mph numbers. I was thinking I was running through the lights at less than optimum rpm. I was hoping that raising the rpm up may also increase my mph. Doesn't look like that is the case. Back to the mod drawing board.

Mike,
They won't hurt anything. You will have to have your speedo calibrated.

113.47 mph is my best and like 99SVT said she's a screamin.

Thats with 4.10's, a PI converter (Locked) and 30" tall Goodyears.

Might be down your way to see if it will do better on Sunday.

Question

if I install 4.10 or 3.73 on my 2000 L what will it do when Im running on the hiway? Also not like it matters but how bad does the gas mileage drop?

Cool 4:10 gears

3:73's or 4:10's will have no adverse effect on your Lightning. Speedo will have to be recalibrated through a reburn of your chip. Gas mileage has not been effected with my 4:10's at all. I have gotten and am still getting 14.5/15 mpg. Rpm's running 200 higher at 70mph on highway. Not to mention the fun factor.
I would recommend them highly.
