bellteck lowering kits????
on stylinconcepts they have the belltech lowering kit. they have the 3 in the front and 2 in the back. but it says on lightnings it will be a 2/2 drop. has anyone done this drop or is there something else?
some have cut channels in the rear frame so that the rear doesn't bottom out. if i remember correctly only some had this problem. the only thing that i don't like about the bell tech kit is that it either levels out the truck, or makes it look as if the rear is sagging. if you have a hard bedcover on the back, then it really looks like it is sagging. when TAMPASVT, and RTKILLA (both use the 3/4c kit) took their bed covers off, the trucks looked 110% better in my opinion. not sure if there is a way to crank the back end up just a tad more to give it the much needed rake.
orphaner, what size rims are those? with that drop and those size diameter wheels it looks really nice. are they 20's?

Yes 1BadBlk01, they are 20's. I have never had the rear bottom out...but I did move the rear hanger to its lowest hole as to give it about a 1/2 inch raise in the rear. If you put it in the highest hole it will look like its sagging..LOL. Plus took a couple months of driving for the front to really settle all the way.
for some reason when my buddy installed my 3/4 belltech kit he couldn't drop it the full length in the rear. He just set it a notch before the last on the shackles. Maybe thats why i'm not having any bottoming out problems.. Also mines have a raked look which looks great to me and a lot of people who compliment it.
A good part of the bottoming out on the 3/4 kit results from hitting the pumpkin. If you look under the truck you will see a rail that runs from side to side on the bed of the truck that reinforces the bed of the truck. It sits directly over the rear of the pumpkin, and the top of the pumpkin will hit it. I used a cutoff tool to cut out approx 2" wide section along the lengh of the rail directly above the pumpkin to solve this problem. I left a small width of the rail in place. Helped out quite a bit. Added QA1 shocks. No bottoming out now
