Uncle bens...

The monster tach bothers me in anything but a race car. For the street even in the mustangs its not worthwhile IMO. Add an RPM switch and small prolite and you have an unobtrusive shift light. Why do you need the tach?

I have only put shiftlights in my mustangs. No reason for a tach. Light comes on when i need to shift. other than that i really see no point on a street car. If it was a RACE car with no speedo, then ya they are very helpful to determine traction problems.

Anyways TETO

Brandon

Not by any means are monsta tachs "ricey" when put on the correct vehicle, LIKE A MANUAL! Ever notice that the old 454SS guys used to have big tachs (around my neighborhood they did), it's just plain tacky. And adding to the fire is that you have an automatic just like all the other L owners around here. Not to mention, and I repeat, you already have a tach! It's conveniently located next to the speedo where your boost guage and fuel guage (amongst others) are! But once again, whatever tickles your pickle

Hey I got a tach on my Automatic

Monster Tachs are not "ricey". My GN's stock tach is a piece of chit. Its a digital bar thats waaaaay off, so I put in an Autometer Tach. Now granted its got a floor shifter and I can shift it manually through the 1/4 but its still an Automatic so don't go implying that people with add on tachs in autos are mentally challenged....or something.

Once again, I have yet to see a stock tach that was completely accurate.

What, nobody wants to know what their engine is turning?

I guess if I had a c4 with a 3500 rpm stall, I wouldn't need a tach either. Since its an automatic and all. Nevermind that manual valvebody. Oh, thats right, nobody would drive one of those on the street.

Lose the fire ext. keep the guages. I like to know all the (correct) info that I can about my investments.

Why would anybody want an autometer boost guage that owned a lightning? There is already one of those in the dash also. You would call anybody that was running decent boost an idiot that depended on that one.
