Dealer Problems, Now What?
I called the Ford dealer and thay tell my thay can't check it out without fixing it. Well I just want a check on it cause thay are not going to warrenty a Moster Box. Theres no codes to be found. I changed the fluid, real clean. When I drove it, it will not take a lot of boost and after it winds down ,the overdrive button flashes. 2nd gear still does not like to change without help or if it does, its at a high rpm. I guess I have no overdrive. I was told it could not be a bad converter cause thay go compleaty out are theres a noise. Oh well lets see what the next step is. Anyone?

The only thing that can make the O/D light flash, is an electrical fault in the trans. Since you are getting the O/D light flash, and no 2nd gear upshift (which I've seen that caused be bad solenoid packs), I'd say you have some kind of electrical issue.
What I would check if I were you, is unplug the trans harness from the trans, and use a mechanics mirror to check out the pins on the trans, and make sure none are mushed. Also, I don't know if you have long tubes or not, but if so check on the pass side by the motor where the trans harness passes by the headers. I've seen several trucks melt the trans harness on the header, including my own.

Take it to a trans shop. They can diagnose it. What are you using to scan for codes with>??? If the O/D light is flashing that means you are throwing a code. Scan the truck when the light is flashing don't shut it off first. Why aren't you sending the trans back to the rebuilder. I know if I built it I would want it to look at. Or give him the whole truck.

Well first off I did check for codes with it flashing. None found. OBD2 I belive is the name of it. Anyway I have tryed everything anyone has told me to check. For the last two days. I wanted to find something simple, but no luck. And I guess my next choice is to pull it and send it to Ohio. Gregg is great ,and I was trying to save us both the hassle. Them trannies be hard to pull by ones self!
Just as a last resort before you send it back to me, check to make sure the OSS and TSS (the sensors on the top of the case and the extension housing) are connected good and tight, they were the sensors that had orange caps on them when it shipped. Either one being loose could give you a no 1-2 upshift. Also, check the solenoid connector as Sal said, that has been a problem for a few people.
If you have to take it out, I feel for you, but I'll be happy to open it up and see if it's internal, I just hope it doesn't come to that.
The real worse case is you send it back and I don't find anything wrong, then we're back to the beginning.
