Tranny Help!

I have the tranny pan pulled, but the filter and everything is clean. Is there something I should check while I have it pulled? If so you will have to explain it , cause there's lots of parts under there that I don't know what thay are. Thanks!

Are you just changing the fluid? If so change the filter at the same time. Also there is a magnet that is just stuck to the inside of the pan that usually gets pretty cruddy. Pull it off, clean it, then stick it back in and you're good to go.

Tranny hasen't been acting right, so I'm checking for trash are anything else. I could not find the magnet, it must be clean. The tranny has low miles on it. I didn't know if the accumulater are anything else I can inspect while I'm there.

There's a magnet there, so if you can find it somthing is wrong?

If you tranny is acting up its pretty much already to late man. Seriously I would waste timeand I would buy a factory tecj monster box for it.

There's also another filter you can add to the system that cleans the fluid better.

Greg has those too.

Hey Tim, Judging from your past posts, it sounds like you have a control problem in the trans. It is probably in the valvebody or it can be a shift solenoid. Did you check all the connections for the two speed sensors on top>??? I would look over all of the connections and make sure they are snug. Check the main harness going into the tran too. Unplug everything make sure there is no dirt or anything. If everything looks good talk to whoever sold ya the thing I am sure they will take care of you and with only 2000 miles you should def have a warranty. Oh one more thing did you have the truck scanned for any tranny codes>??? Goodluck with it. -Mat-

I built the box, and while I don't really have a warranty, I will rebuild it if it needs it. Tim, if you can let it sit idle for a week I'll send you a new solenoid for it, you can replace it and at least see if it's that. Also, I have a similar problem on anothe truck that turned out to be electrical and not the tranny, I'm trying to find the e-mail the guy sent me to see if it applies, I think it may, but it was kind of involved and I want to see it again.
Let me know on the solenoid, I can have one out tomorrow. It's easy to change, just pop off the old one and bolt it in. It's the valve body with the orange plastic plate on the bottom (7G391)
