Dealer Question?

What do ya think? If I carry my truck to a dealer in the morning that when thay see 2 filters and another cooler that thay will tell me to get lost? I tryed to boost my truck today and anytime no matter what speed the tranny disingages. Motor will be open with no movement from tranny. I was going to drop my pan tommorrw but I'm dicouraged about anything right now. I kinda hope its a converter problem. I went through 2 hours of posts today and nothing seemed to help me. I feel like Brasil on the other post F@(king losing my mind!!!

maybe ditch the second filter?

it really shouldn't matter, and I can't imagine them trying to deny your warranty due to a second trans cooler, but you never know.

in some cases, if the tech just doesn't want to fix it (because warranty repair time sucks), he could say that it is modified, but I can't imagine any of these mods being the problem.

although in theory, the extra stuff "could" reduce fluid flow or something like that, that is really all they need if they want to tell you no.

safest thing would be to remove your extra filter and cooler and take it in.

It'll save you from buying a $2000 tranny plus labor install.

just my .02

good luck

later,
chris

Cool

What Chris said.

Ditch the second filter. You could be putting extra stress on the pump trying to move the fluid.

Years ago STP came out with the double oil filter. It had an extra layer of filter material which sounded like a good idea. This filter took out several engines because it starved the engine of oil. Needless to say that don't make it anymore.
