you guys crack me up. you took your truck in for a noise concern and expect them to diagnose it, fix it, and verify the repair all without driving it.

I'm just playing devil's advocate here, because I'm certainly not saying that any employee of the dealership needed to be racing your truck or blasting your radio, but seriously, what would you like to see done?

also, "I still haven't decided if I should take this any further."

where exactly would that be? you going to take them to court? you most likely signed a repair order giving them permission to drive your truck. no matter what you told them.

again, no attack, but some of you guys just seem to be WAY too serious about your vehicles sometimes, its a truck for crying out loud, not a ferrari.

P.S. If I were in this situation and saw somebody ragging my truck I'd be pissed too, so please don't think I'm justifiying it or saying I wouldn't mind this happening to my truck. I guess I'm just feeling arguementative... nothing personal.
ok smart guy, did you read the part about me being present for all test drives? or the part about it being a "noise" problem? how the hell do you diagnose a squeaking problem with the radio turned up? and as for "its not a ferrari", what do you care about your truck? this is an enthusists (sp?) web site. everyone on here , im sure, feels the same way about their truck as i do mine. im not rich and even if i was i still wouldnt want to buy thing only to have others beat up on them!!!

brasil- they said that it was a defective weld on the drivers side cat. it was most noticable when in park and after i revved the engine on the "wind down" of the engine.

That you specifically stated you wanted to be present for test drives means just that; the dealer f*^ked up. And if you want to be picky about your ride - that is your perogative; focus or Ferrari makes no difference, right?

As for the wrench, I just hope he got the news about a week off/no pay after your L left the dealer

I have fresh TR6's on, no misfire or hesitation felt, smooth idle.

Chris I would feel the same way you did!! Don't waste your time on any negative comments

PS: The noise can't be heard at idle or without a load on the engine, even when it is reved up .
