Do I have a 90mm Mass Air Meter?
Do I have a 90mm Mass Air Meter?
I am going to order a chip tomorrow and I need to find out if my mass air meter is a 90 or 80. I have a 2000 Lightning that I just bought a few weeks ago. I has a 4# JL lower pulley and a JL ram air on it. It did have a diablosport chip but was removed before I purchased the truck, because the tape to hold the chip in is cut and I can see in the computer where the chip goes. It was purchased from a dealer so they have no idea. I measured the meter on the end nearest the supercharger. It is almost 4inches. I got some numbers off the meter:
One side shows:
PBT-GF30
Other side on connector shows:
1L3F-12B579-AB
AFH90-02
1G10
The 90 in AFH90-02 makes me think that it is a 90mm from an '02.
Am I correct or can someone please check theirs for me. I need to send an email to Paul at REM tonight.
Thanks

To convert inches to mm you need to go to centimeters first. To do that you do inches x 2.54. 2.54 x 4 = 10.16. To go from centimeters to millimeters you move the decimal point one place to the right. So you measured a 101.6 mm mass air. Paul is correct, a 90mm mass air is 3.54 inches across, which is almost 4. Measure again and see if you get 3 1/2, but it looks pretty obvius that its a 90 because an 80 would be 3.15 inches across. Good luck, and I think my math is right, if not someone correct me!
