Question Hey Soap...........

Would you tell me your opinion on going with a drag radial,or et streets?A pair of '02 rims and two drag radials(nittos)will be about $830.00! With the et streets, all i need is some 16"f-150 rims???What size will i need?26x10-16's?And i have been told that i will need some kind of traction device for the rear with any sticky tire. What would you suggest? My truck has ran a 8.39@84.4 mph,1.86 60 ft (1/8th)on goodyears.

Thanks!!

Well I am sure a lot of others have opinions too but here goes.......

I am a proud advocate of ET Streets becuase they have worked so damn well for me. Although others have gotten great times out of the Nitto's.

I bought a set of used wheels for $100 and a new set of tires for another $350 (friend owns a tire store) so I would suggest checking the classifieds for some used wheels first.
I run 26x11.5x16 ET Streets and get a FULL contact patch on a 16x8 AR Baja. This is very important to get all the tire working for you.

You should definately get some sort of traction bar to prevent axle wrap with the slicks & hard launching. In no particular order you can choose from.....
--rancho style bars from JLP, JDM or JJ
--slapper bars from Jay Lincoln
--cal tracs
--Metco upper or lower track links
--etc

Hope this helps ya some........
