Chevy guys --- Clueless
I can usually spot a Lightning from a mile away. They are pretty rare around here. I think I have only seen three or four gen 2's being driven.
I learned about the Lightning when I bought my '94 F150, new. I knew I wanted one but also knew I couldn't afford one. Now I can afford the payments but with the next gen on the horizon, I'm not quite sure what to do.
When I see that Lightning from a mile away, I think "you lucky bast@rd! I just hope they know what they've got!
There is this guy who I used to live down the street from that would only drive his (gen 2) Lightning on weekends, down the street, about a quarter mile, to the VFW. I'm not to sure if he'd ever experianced boost. At least he traded the '99 black for an '01 silver.

Fast Gator - I'll talk to you
I also can spy an L from a mile away -
My friends are in my truck (HD) with me and are like "There is an L" ---- I say "No....that's a fake" -- I can ALWAYS tell --- Whenever I see an L, I always aknowledge his baby.

I have salivated profusely over the Gen 2 lightening since the first day I learned of its extistence. I can be driving down the road, not even paying attention to anything but the traffic in front of me, and spot an L a mile away. Damn near snaps my neck every time. My fiance just shakes her head.

The Lightning is an amazing vehicle. I have been asked all of the fun dumba$$ questions as well. The funniest I ever got was "what makes this truck so special?" I said nothing and left him in a cloud of smoke.
The Texas crowd does you you all proud. There is more than one drive-thru beer place. I guess I need to go to the one HIHOAG goes to. Mark, next TALON outing let's go to your drive-thru beer place!

People always seem to ask me about my tail lights... and why the wheels are so small. Seriously, the the wheels look stupid small... stand like 100 ft away and look at a stock truck, you'll see what I'm talking about. Argh!
And people riding in it tell me they think the alternator is bad (the whine). heh.
