What is this?...on the inside of my rear wheels...

Washed it off and took a drive and it came back........seems to be a liquid of some sort.....I've got 14,500 miles

Thanks

Looks like rust from your rotors or dust shield.

What is that oil like stuff on your caliper? It looks similar to what is on the wheels.

Why would rust stick like that though, wouldnt it just be like brake dust. This stuff looks/feels like its a liquid.

You may have blown an axle seal.

Appears you have a brake fluid leak.

it could be oil from your rear axl. i once broke the rear axl seal on one of my trucks and it looked similar to that, only there a lot more of it. could just be a leak in the seal. if you washed it off and it came back, it probably is still leaking...chris

Axel seal? I had one go bad on my Mark VII, the wheels had very similar looking grease marks.
