Where can I get new carpet for the interior. I want to replace what's in the truck now. Has anyone done the carpet in black? Anyone got pics of different colors? Thanks

I can't answer about the L carpet, but when I had a '96 Thunderbird it also had the same grey interior. After a while it started to look like shizit. So...

...I had it replaced with black carpet figuring it would hide the dirt and look better longer. However, after the initial hit in the face color change that my mind had to absorb-- I really, REALLY, liked it better. It set off the whole interior by making the other more important parts (seat, dash, center console, et cetera) stand out.

If you do find black replacement carpet for the L, let us know, my truck only has 2500 miles on it and I would replace the carpet TODAY if I could get black, OEM quality (or better) carpet.

I just did black in mine not to long ago. The grey gets dirty fast so I changed in and I love the way it looks now.

The article I posted yesterday about the 03 Lightning's states a better, thicker rug for 03, but didn't say what colors. You may want to keep that in mind too.

What's on the drivers side floor? Is that a mat? Or built into the carpet? I kind of like it.

its a floor mat from (link below), unfortunatly i have to drive the truck in the winter, and for work so these keep the truck clean.

they have drivers, pass, ans center mats.
