A Satisfying Revelation

I was driving to work today... I wasn't thinking when I pressed my foot to the gas and was treated to about 1.5 seconds of squealing tires.
I realized that life is good, at least when I'm driving. The payments may be a little too much, and I'm well under the "mean income" of the average lightning ower...
I realized that I can honestly say that there's not another vehicle under $100,000 that I would rather be driving. Not many people can say that they're driving their dream car. I may be broke (heh) but lucky in that sense.
Anyone else think about this? Or am I still drunk from last night?

I here ya Guapo,

I may be older and maybe making more money but I still can't
afford it with ease either. Between the Divorce from Hell, having full Custody of my Son, and having to re-mortgage the house to pay off what the X did to my credit cards, believe me when I tell you, I'm struggling a little too.

But none of that changes the fact that I've always been a Motor Head, and always will be. So ok, maybe I can't afford the Fastest Car in the World """BUT""" I can the Fastest truck in the World.

So I too can honestly say, "I'm Driving my Dream Car" OR TRUCK

Happy Motoring my Brother

Thumbs up Right on Man

I agree 100%. This is the life, no matter how bad the day is all I have to do is get in my Lightning and I am smiling. I hoble over on my crutches, get in and go for a ride and I forget about my leg. I love this truck! Even if I have a bad day at the track the ride home makes up for it. Happy motoring everyone. -Mat-

... until you get your credit card bill from the gas...
I know... smiles per gallon and all that... but you can't say it doesn't hurt.

I can also say that I'm driving my dream truck & so is the hubby. All it takes is creative budgeting (not Enron creative tho). All this & a 8 month old, what else could a gal want.

I'm driving my 'current' dream truck

Ever since Ford rereleased the Lightnings in 99 I have always wanted one. I previously owned a 97 XLT (traded it in on the L). I told myself, and everybody else, the only thing that could make me get rid of my 97 was a Lightning. And now I have one!!! I'm 21 y/o working full time as a draftsman. I'm single, live at home, and have no kids, when's a better time to get what you want? I also bought a boat earlier this year. 2002 Crownline 180BR. It's my other toy!

i think all the time that it would be a lot easier without 2 expensive vehicles. id have more $ for whatever else i want and sometimes bills wouldnt worry me. but, then i take my lightning out of the garage and forget all my worries. its to bad i have to stop driving it ever!....chris
