Talking new best track time!

well i was gonna go over to jackson s.c. thurs night to try to take advantage of the cooler weather but rain took care of that idea. so i had to settle for a 1/8th mile track in douglas, ga. first off i got the new tranny in this week, it is a stock one with factory tech valve body, and a pi 2400 stall. my first impression of the stall i didnt reall like it. but after i drove bout 50 miles it didnt bother me. i love it now. but i got to douglas looking for a descent night to run well i didnt get it. at the end of the night it was 78 degrees, and very humid, damp foggy weather. just plain nasty. i let it cool for about 1 1/2 hours with ice on it. then i burned up the hoosiers and staged. i stalled it up to about 2000 rpms and left with some wheel spin but not alot.
R/T .496 (EVER SO CLOSE)
1.717 60ft
7.878 @ 87.04 mph

on the next run it was hot from last run with no ice and i dropped the air and raised stall to 2100 and it spun about the same amount but netted a faster 60 but with a slower speed.
.544
1.701 60ft
7.89 @86.34 mph

the truck shifted into every gear very firm and quick, but at 5200 rpms. since i had been having all the problems with other tranny shifting so late i had my tuner keep lowering sgift points and now it actually shifts where it is supposed to haha. im gonna leave it shifting there though on race mode it is at 5200 and street 5100. that should be very easy on rods too. well i think it is gonna be time for some bigger hoosiers when it cools off. i cant wait for some 40-50 degree weather to run in, can we say 7.70s @ 88mph. it shouldnt be a problem.
