Another crazy idea...
Does anyone have an NHRA rule book handy?
I'm wondering what the rules for compressed cylinders in the vehicle are.
The reason:
Coldie's patented super-cool powercooler!
Instead of using ice water, use a compressed air tank expanding and bubbling through the water to cool it off. Should result in a nice cold water bath.
Since I get compressed air for free, it's a big win for me, and I figure a single tank would last for a good 5-10 minutes of solid flow...

You can have them. My buddy has a CO2 cylinder with a presure activated switch to cool the intercooler on his turbo. Once he reaches a certian amout of boost, the pressure actives the co2 and blasts the I/C. He gained about 100hp at the wheels. Took him to almost 600hp out of a 2000cc VW type 1 motor.
