Snow tires for stock rims?

Snow tires for stock rims?
I've searched, but I'm wondering if there has been any recent change:

Is there any winter/snow tire that will fit our stock rims?

The stock wheels are WAY too wide (9.5") for winter tires. You need tall/narrow tires to cut through snow.
