Just thought I'd post it to see what everybody thinks.

I don't really care for them either... but maybe they will "grow" on me. IMO I think it will be hard to get a better looking wheel than the '01-'02 style!

 

i think they hired the chevy guy who was making all of their ugly wheels

 

I like the 01/02 style also. They lend themselves to being stretched to 20's very well. I like the lego look.

My favorite is still the 99-00 wheel. I think the 03 looks pretty good , albeit a bit plain. The 01-02 style has never grown on me.

 

Just a bit of trivia...

SVT calls the 01-02 wheels "monoblock" wheels.

(read that in the latest SVT Enthusiast mag)

 

Stretch them to 20s and then chrome them and they will sell lot hot cakes.

I dont care for them too much, I like my 01's.......wish they were chrome and 20's though..

 

Not that it matters, everyone either likes or dislikes most every other rim they see, me included. It is a very indivdual taste.

Never have been that thrilled with my stock '02 rims. I like the chrome 99-01 rims, but that would date the truck. I think the '03's would be a better solution for me if they were chrome and perhaps 20's.

Alone, they look like dorky take-offs from an S-10. In the pics on the truck, though, they look pretty good.

Overall, I like the 99-00 the best. Then the 03's. They look OK with the entire truck. Then the 01/02's, I've never cared for them.

 

I look at it a different way. I personally like my 01-02 rim's the best, but I think that the 99-00's are good looking, and that the 03's look pretty good. I look at it that atleast they are changing something about the truck... we will atleast see some type of variation stock for stock.

When I had my 99, I thought the 99/00 wheels where the best looking
Now that I've got an 01, I think the 01/02 wheels are the best looking
When I get my 05, Iam sure I will think that they are the best looking wheels on a Lightning
