Question Good brake pads that don't "dust"...

...as bad as the stockers do.

My pads are in good shape, and I just bled the brakes, but I was wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a quality pad that won't create as much brake dust as the stockers.

I'm not planning to upgrade my rotors and calipers...I'm looking for a stock replacement.

TIA,

Unfortunately, any of the higher performance pads (like Hawk, etc.) all dust significantly more than the stockers. That is a trade off for much improved braking. In reality, the stock pads don't really dust to much. If you are worried about dust, keep the stock pads.

Ceramic pads (like Raybestos "Cermix") are great for less dust, and their a great street pad...they're not really cut out to be a race pad.

Thank you!

I appreciate the info!

I am getting ready to have some stock wheels painted white (since my truck is white) and I'm figuring that brake dust will just look a lot worse.

I realize _some_ hi-po pads leave LOTS of brake dust, and the stockers aren't _that_ bad...but I was hoping there might be something that would be just as good of a pad (I'm not road-racing the truck) for the street as the stockers...without as much dust.

I will try the Ceramix.

Thanks again.
