Lightning is a real testosterone booster...
As in, seems to make me be much more of an aggressive **** than I would be normally...
Had one of those "oh yeah?!?" events today... a guy in a black Lexus GS 430 was riding my back bumper in traffic on a two lane road, either trying to push me or read the warning label on the trailer light plug.
I keep it at a nice 64 in a 55 zone. Get by a slower car on the right, another one not even 50 yards up the road, he jumps right and ends up cutting me off bad (as in his back door at my front right tire bad). Of course I had been easing into it to close the gap, and thats my fault there... testosterone at work, and then it gets worse...
Had to jump up on his posterior, and drive around him (no more traffic in front of us at this time, finally) and come back over after passing, not half way like the idgit did me, and get on the brakes for the stop light a quarter mile ahead. He dodged right as I came to a halt at the light beside a nice looking Audi. He went through the right turn lane and on through the red light, out of sight down the road.
I know I antagonised him, and to be honest, no shame there. I enjoyed the hell out of driving by his $50K toy. All told, I got up to about 100 in a 55 zone, and that was a bad thing, I admit it. Had no problem stopping at the light up the road, no ABS engagement and dry weather conditions, so it wasn't completely unsafe, no clue why Lexus boy decided to blow the light, unless he was worried I would get out of the car and shoot him or something... (a Florida tradition, if you believe the media)
Would I have done this in another vehicle? Not likely. Is my truck a bad influence on me? Heh... ask my wife, I think she bent my "oh-***** handle". Do I see this as a bad example for others? Probably. Would I do it again? Probably not, the brain kicked in way after the right foot and neanderthal subconcious were doing their thing. Hate to see my truck as a statistic and a 30 second news blurb on the evening news... or not be around to see it...
