Does the law read the license must be on the front of the vehicle or read from the front. If the latter rubber band it to your pass side sun visor and flip it down.that way it is read from the front and still legal if that is how the law reads.Stan

I don't run a front plate on either my car or my truck. I've only been ticketed once, and that was a $35 fix-it ticket.

It's hard to get busted on this one. The cop has to notice no front plate, then see the back of your vehicle and notice that you are a California resident.

But since I have such a huge intercooler opening in my DG air dam, I'm thinking about putting in a solenoid-operated plate on hinges. Get pulled over, hit the switch. "I'm sorry, officer, you must be mistaken."

Second or third best option is to mount it upside down (the bracket that is) with some long nylon bolts and wing nuts. I also put some the fuzzy side of the self stick velcro on it to prevent scratching. At least I didn't drill any holes in the bumper cover.
