Kill the Children

where, to start. about a month ago some old woman in a camary runs into me. yes, it sucks, i get to drive a rental for a month. got it back today, yes today. truck looks great, all is good. i've had it 15 hours, and while driving home tonite i see someone walk across a dark little wooden road. i thought it was really weird, and drove by slowly. and i suddenly see a fat kid make a throwing motion. well shoot, i pull over, and i don't see anything wrong. i went up and down the road a few times but no luck. get home, check out my new fender and i saw some little nicks in there. so, ofcourse, i head back over, look some more, and go into a neighborhood thats connected to the road. find some older people at the pool house and ask them if theyve seen anyone. they say yeah, about 20 minutes ago, and i see footsteps in the dew. follow them to a house and ring the doorbell. their dad comes to the door, and i ask him about it, give a description. and yes, he said the kids were out but came back home recently. but he talked to the kids, and said they werent wearing their clothes. erg, nothing i could really do past that. so 15 hours, and new scratches in my black paint. what a day.

I feel your pain, I had a black ranger before my Black Lightning I have now. I didn't do anything to try to keep it up, and I regretted it so when I got my Lightning I tried to make sure I took care of it. I have always parked as far away from everyone, never left it in a known unsafe place, never took it down gravel roads, kept it clean, and so on. Well life has a funny way of doing things, I have had my truck a year now and have this all happen:

1) Golf ball sized hail, dented hood and roof some. Pretty minor damage but there was some dimples, going to probably just get a aftermarket hood to replace the hood. The roof isn't as bad so I guess it waits. It REALLY sucked because I was at work, there was nothing I could do but sit and watch

2) Some chick in the McDonalds drive through rear ended me. Yes I got rearended in the drive through! No major damage, but my bumper has those smear marks in it now. Could probably get them buffed out, but still it sucks.

3) Some idiots decided they wanted my Lightning emblems, and took them off with a screw driver. I now have many small scratches around the emblem location

4) My friend curb checked one of my rims very badly, I mean sanded down a small edge of it even.

5) I curb checked a rim too, sigh.

6) Even parking way out in BFE all the time, I still got some small door scratches.

The truck has less then 10k miles on it, it sucks. I tell you its enough to make me want to get the smallest, ugliest vehicle and just drive that sometimes.

Don't think that I would admit to that, this IS a PG rated site

"I have always parked as far away from everyone, "

<Rant on>

Ya, and have you noticed that when you park 400 feet away from the front entrance of a store and 300 feet away from the nearest car; that when you exit the establishment, 1/2 the cars in the parking lot are now surrounding the Lightning?

I think to myself; look a little mini island of cars with my L stuck in the middle?!?!?!?!

You don’t see this happening to the same Corvette’s or BMW’s in the parking lot and I don’t think the average Joe knows a Lightning from a ½ mile away; maybe just bad luck on my part.

I’ve also never had a vehicle that’s been rear-ended 3 times either, by what else 3 Mustangs, what’s with that?

<Rant off>
