axle/disc brake swap

I believe I can find a used Lightning rear axle/disc brakes for a resonable price. I've got a 98 flareside 5.4l 3.55 gears and 4 wheel ABS. I think I'll need brake lines and 14mm lug nuts. Will I need a different master cylinder, drive shaft, speedo gear, or something else??

Why would you do the swap? More work than it is worth. Many more options available for the 8.8.

NOT true! the 99 lightning axle is unique to the lightng due to the staggered shocks the 00 and up use a bracket that makes it work on either vehicle.Stan

Silver-Bolt - I think I have a 9.75 in my truck from the factory. I'm just after rear disc brakes and wouldn't mind the 3.73....

Does anybody know what else I'll need...
