Talking I totally KILLED a gen II Lightning tonght!!

It was sooo sweet. The night started looking like a major pain in the backside. Got at the track later then I had wanted to. My buddy that I really went to see race wasn't even there yet so I went through tech and got in line at the stage area.

They had to shut the track down three differant times while I waited, and waited. . . Finally my lane was moving. I lined up against a '02 acura with a few mods.

The acura beat me 15.26 to 16.33.

And what of the Lightning you ask? Well he was in the race just before me and ran against a late model camaro. . . I was so slow that I was able to make the first turn out and beat all four of them to the timing shed by at least 12 car lengths

Takin what their givin cause I'm workin for a livin

Hey I give you a thumbs up for racing your Expy! At least I now have a good idea of what ours would run...although mine's a 2wd and has 3.55 gears...might be a tick quicker. Who knows?

WA 2 FST, that is one very fine looking Expy you got there, well done. Mine is the same color as yours and I am thinking about getting some 20" replica L wheels in that style. Thanks for posting the PIC, now I know it will look good.

I just got some '02 Harley head and corner lights on mine and it really changed the look of the front end, Maybe one day I'll get some cash and be able to do the mods I want.

Thanks, that was the whole idea, to have fun . . .

I have been convinced that I need mods for a good long while now. Heck, I even have worked out in great detail what I want to do. My problem is gathering up the cash to make that dream a reality

So, in the mean time I'll just not worry about it and have fun.

BTW, also at the track that night, when I pulled in line at the tech inpection a couple 'like a rock' heads in camaros stared in disbelieve when I pulled in behind them in the Expy . . .

I was really their to race a friend and his dodge ram who didn't show . . . I had my window down and shouted 'that's right' and one began to laugh, that kind of fake-I'm better then you laugh. . . I told him if he thought that he had anything for me to bring it. . . he looked dazed. . . I got out and approched them . . .

Once again, with my best 'Poker Face' I asked him if he wanted to set a grudge race and line up against me for some cash. . . he looked down, then at his buddy and said not tonight, this is my wife's car . . .

The poor mulet haired slob must have had his share of beatings at the hands of you Lightning drivers and was afraid my Expy had a Lightning motor

Some times you just got to know how to have fun

WA - you should get some '02 HD lights for that expy...it would look a whole lot better...not that it doesn't look good with the tints, L wheels, and L bumper
