woke up to a sweet shakira music video today......only to see the comercial after it with 2 guys in the new ugly dodge racing a toasting a chevelle or something and the end of the comercial stated that its a 5.7L 345hp hemi???????? whats this about , first time i've heard of this

 

Dodge is a little full of itself I think. Just because a 'Cuda could smoke a Chevelle 30 years ago doesn't mean a 4 X 4 dually with an engine of the same name can too.

 

yep its true. it just came out but from what we were told at chrysler's its only offered in the 2500 class not the 1500. but it will never be a ford.

 

This is the "all new" 5.7 litre Hemi to replace the ~40 year old 360 "knockmaster" V8.

It looks to be a nice modern design with excellent power. It is about DAMN time the ram has a nice gas engine. After owning two rams with the 360 and switching to a supercrew I'm sold on the Triton engine and Ford build quality. I'll take a wait and see attitide on the new HEMI 1500 RAM for now

That Hemi is back-
I saw a TV show a few weeks ago where they took a brand new 1/2 ton shortbed reg cab Dodge, pulled the stock 318 out and dropped in one of these Hemi's, only they had it built to like 525 horse. That was a badazz truck!

As I Am a true Ford Fan Ive got to say that my 97ram with the 360 worked great.I put 90,000 miles on that thing and beat the crap out of it.I towed bobcats,racecars,jet skis,everything under the sun.Just thought I would share this with you guys.Remember one thing!F.O.R.D-FIRST ON RACE DAY!!!!
