Angry Question about in dash DVD players

I just bought a new DVD/CD/TV..... thing for my truck but i can't play the DVD's unless the parking brake is on. Is there a way to trick the player into thinking the brake is on, or something else that i can do to where i can play DVD's whenever i want.

Yep,Go to any radio store or check E-bay.If it is electronic there is always a way around it.Mine is a switch under the dash.I just hit my brake ,flip the switch and release brake. You do not even have to stop. The best part is it that its only like $12.

Here is my PS2 on while driving (I got bored)J/K

I just put my brake on to the point where the light is barely on. The brake isnt actually engaged, but that light is on and that is what matters.

I had my install shop put in a trigger switch to engage or disengage that option, let just say I never engage it

Normally you just ground the wire. Depends on the unit tho.

YtDiamond05,
Kenwood KVT-910DVD
Kenwood KVT-911DVD
Eclipse AV8132
Panasonic CY-VMD9000U
Just to list a few...The kenwoods are the only ones that have everything (DVD/CD/FM/AM/TV) I think.

I think most players use a ground for the parking break, connected to ground allows it to be on. I have mine permanantly grounded.

Ascii, ive only heard negative things about the clarion units, always breaking etc. As for the touch screen, what about all those fingerprints, and all the wear on the screen?

J15Big, there are plenty of other units out there but most are just coming out i think. I had to specifically ask for mine, i couldnt really find it on the net.

I recently went with the Panasonic CQ-VAD7200U. I had to have the best, and this was it. I love it, and cant beat getting it at dealers cost!

I have this for my Alpine setup, works like a charm and is totally automatic, I don't need to hit any switches or anything.

just ground it

i have hooked up quit a few different multimedia headunits and all of them so far all you have to do is ground it, it will save you time and money, and plus it is really easy to do. I have a pioneer tv/cd player and all i had to do was ground it
