Denso It-24s on a daily driver..

How would these plugs work on a daily driven truck?

I ran them for a few hundred miles under recommendation for my mods and I had a miss.. I was NOT impressed at all for almost $100... I switched to NGK- BR7efs almost 1,000 miles ago and not a single miss.. just my opinion...JR

Glad to hear that, just finished the swap to BR7s today and was worried about having to change them out...

Hmmmmmm. I don't understand some of these posts. I've been running BR7s for about 17,000 miles. They have always misfired at idle and low rpms. I downshift into 3rd around town because of this. Now, at the track or on the interstate, they work fine(got me my current best et--sig.).

I pulled no. 1 Sun. and it looked fine---tannish-grey with no signs of fouling. I guess they misfire because they are 2 or 3 heat-ranges colder than the OEMs but necessary for 5 lbs of extra boost.

I have 8 Densos IT 24s waiting to take the place of the NGKs because of the misfiring they exhibit. Some of you are saying it's just the other way around............that the NGKs are superior to the Densos??? I surely don't want to go thru another plug change with a lesser performing plug...............

I think your going to find difference of opinion on this subject. I have talked to a few tuners and 1 said BR7s are perfect for my setup, 1 said too cold get them out, and another said they are pretty cold but you would probably be alright. I had IT24s on order and was just going to use the BR7s that I had as a temporary setup but I cancelled my IT24 order because I am going to see if these BR7s work out as a permenent(sp?) setup. I think you just have to try one, and if it doesnt work out, try another. Thats what im going to do.

Question:
AutoTap has a perameter that supposidly shows total misfires. Can I trust this to tell me weather I need new plugs or not?

Dan,
I was VERY disappointed with the IT24's. They were recommemded for 5# pulley etc by one of our tuners and they turned out to be crap......Waste of money!!!.....just my opinion however...JR
