Sorry there G-pimp.

Eibach's SUCK in regards to improved handling. Ride comfort, yes.

Let me retort my good man.

For overall use ??? I like Eibach progressive springs the best. Have them on the truck right now and used them on Escorts and Mustangs with excellent results. Flat out handling use ??? There's Hotchkis, Ruslow, H & R and a few others but I couldn't tell you which is the best because I seldomly drive like Batman.

I was quoted $132 for the Eibachs on shox.com

I must agree about the Eibachs. Yes, there are many other brands out their with stiffer spring rates that will "perform better" but they are not quite as nice on the daily commute. I have installed Eibachs on at least 20 different vehicles, and time after time they were the best compared to the other brands in that price range.

For the price, they really can't be beat. If handling is really that important, then fork out the cash for the Hotchkis kits, or some of the others where the sway bars and shocks get replaced. Those are the kits that truly up the handling capabilities.

Do the Eibach's still handle better than stock or just lowr it?
Also, do the rear shackles add to much sway to the rear end, or does it still handle well?

The Eibachs will help, but don't expect anything extremely drastic. You are still throwing the weight of a truck around.

As far as the shackles are concerned, they will add a bit of noticable sway to the rear. It is more like the feeling that you could throw the a$$ around if you pushed hard. It is actually kinda fun to gas it and kick out the rear a little easier, but I know I will need to upgrade the endlinks before long.

anytime that you can lower the center of gravity or the roll cneter you will increase your handling. The question is at what price? If you bottom out faster or more then your suspension is taking the punishment as is the handling due to the fact that it is getting jarred to a sudden stop and the tire has to take up the rest of the bump or the frame either way it upsets the truck and make for a somewhat unpredictable vehicle when you go over them.Stan
