"NEW" Crankcase Breather Mod, that works...

This will allow Oil and Pressure to escape through your Breather, so it doesn't go into your Throttle Body. It will also "not allow" Un-Metered Air back into the engine. No Chip Reburn, No Lean Condition, No Soft Code.

The passenger side isn't the problem it is the driver side that sucks all the oil into the intake.

Great info though........

That looks like a inreresting idea.

If the valve only allows the oil fumes out why would you need a filter at the end??

Maybee if what soap said is true maybee we can do something like that on the drivers side

I can't agree or disagree because I've heard the opposite about which side gives you trouble, "BUT" I do know mine had oil in the Throttle Body with only a couple of hundred miles on it (when I did the JDM Filter). Ever since the Breather that has stopped, HOWEVER the fact is oil or not, the Breather will take in UN-Metered Air and requires a chip reburn most times. The tricky part is, NO ONE CAN GUESS how much air "at what times". Thats why most tuners or suppliers don't offer the Breather. Sal can let you in on a little ball bearing trick of his, and others have done the Walmart Oil Seperator Mod (on the pass side). One thing I know is unmetered air is no good, and oil in the throttle body is no good, this should correct both.

I'll let you know how it works as time goes on.

And your right about not needing the Breather any more, but I already had it so why not.

I have had noe oil come through the drivers side either. it all gets in through passenger side.

I have a larger filter system that I built which is working perfectly so far, but I may just do Sal's ball bearing idea and block it off completely.

Soap - The oil is not coming from the drivers side. This is a common misconseption, since you will most likely see oil in the drivers tube at the boot. The oil is getting sucked up from the passenger side, into the backside of the metal intake, then getting sucked to the front of the intake, onto the butterfly vanes, then into the boot and down through the drivers side. Put a filter on the system and it will catch 90% of this oil and keep the intake clean.

Okay... dumb question time... can we use the Ford Spec carburetor cleaner in our "L's"? This is the foam type... it'll clean the TB and certainly the intercooler...

Good idea or bad???

3M makes a 'throttle bore' friendly cleaner. I got mine from a NAPA store. The other cleaners will effect the bore coating.
