I would think around $26,000 to $28,000. So how did you blow the motor and what failed if you don't mind me asking>??? -Mat-

Depends on the part of the country.

In Texas you can buy a new 2002 with 10 miles on it for 28-29 k

So a 2000 with 25k would not be worth that much.

But Everything is expensive up north and you never know you might find a buyer at that price.

If you get an offer for $28K, take it right then and there. My 2000 has 21K miles and it's pretty well immaculate (never hit or even scratched) and I'd be suprised to get more than $23K, if that...

Go to www.nada.com and it will give you an average trade-in and average retail for your area. In Hou. TX a 2000 Lightning with 25,000 mi. avg. trade in was 22,750 and average retail was 25,850. Thats without any options and no new engine. Seems price would be above retail if its in good shape.

Over a year ago I sold my '00 with 7,000 miles for $25,000, so i figure today i could get around $23,000.

The price you get will depend directly on how much the buyer is willing to pay. Everybody seems to think their truck is worth more than it actually is......including me!

and i didnt blow my motor it was replaced by ford because of excessive crank thrust whatever that is. anyways thanks for the help

Thre is no relationship betwen the value of your truck to someone else and how much you owe.

Also the relationship bewteen the $$ you spend changing the truck from stock and the Value used is typically a negative relationship. In other words spending more money modding usually means its worth less....

Not sure if you'd get 28,000$ for it, but hey, if you do... more power to ya!

If I was looking to buy and you told me you had a new engine, I would think you were hard on it. When you told me all the mods, I'd run away. I'm not ripping mods, but I don't know what you did to that truck.
