Reasons to keep the 99

Bed rug, Factory Tech shift kit, lower pulley, Impluse Low Pro bed cover, filter assembly....all of this would have to stay on the truck.

Chip, gauge pod, and Jay's slapper bars are the only mods that would transfer.

And last and most important, my 99 chrome wheels. I hate all post 00 Lightning wheels. Sorry..... just MHO.

Would cost me close to $3000.00 to get a new one outfitted like the 99.

60,000 miles and still going strong. Chip since 12,000 miles. Two pound lower from 24,000 to 35,000. Four pound lower from 35,000 to present.

I know there are reasons to sell it but I was thinking the third gen L's would be here in 03. Now it looks like 05? I'll have 85,000 iles on it by then!

Say, hows the daily driving with the 4 pounder? I've been thinking about one...

What did you do to prep the engine? My '99 has 47000 miles on it now, and I haven't driven it the past couple winters.

I am pretty eager to see what 1/4 times I'd get with a pulley, considering a 02 Lighthning turned a 12.98@105 with a 4. lber.

Tundra, I went to a colder plug (ask Sal or whoever is your tuner). The truck runs great with no problems with the 4 pounder. Travis Caka has almost as many miles on his 99 as I do and he is running a six pounder. I have not run at the track since I went from a two to a four.

Good call. Hopefully my 02 will last to 60k with this 6lb'er!

If you can bear it I would wait for the 03's, but if you can't the 02's are just as good!
