Thumbs up Joining a new club today... the 12 sec. club

Just got back from St. Thomas Dragway and I finally did it, I broke into the 12's today.

2.019-60 ft // 12.929 @ 110.54 mph.

I am stoked, my feet still have not touched the ground since the run...... Yahoooooo !!!!

Ran the truck in full street trim.
Hard bed cover, spare still there and half eaten F1's.
Only things I did were folded in mirrors, 27psi in the tires, back gate laid open and 1/2 tank of gas.

It just amazes me that I can take a 150 mile road trip to the track, in comfort I might add, get on the strip and run 12.92 and then another 150 mile road trip back home with the biggest grin on my face ever. Whats more amazing is that this is a truck, a 4700 lb. beast.

These trucks rock !!

Have a great day eh ! ......... Dave

Congrads, Just one question why did you put the gate down with a bed cover?

Thanks Rob. If you click on my signature pic it will bring you to my mod page.

Thanks Vinnie. It is a great feeling.

Thanks 68Ranger. Although I am not sure whether it really makes any difference I've been told it helps ever so little with more weight transfer farther out back.

I agree with you lisn4thawhistle but I am fighting with serious traction issues right now as you can see by my 60 ft and of course the half worn F1's.
It was very important to me to hit the 12's in street trim and I finally met that goal yesterday.
Now I would like to match those mph up with a mid 12 run but I know that I will need traction bars and a set of drag radials or slicks to accomplish my new goal. My buddy (Redlightspecial) has a set of slicks which I am sure he will let me borrow for a run or two but do not want to try this until I have traction bars in place.

Now to save up a few bucks and convince my better half one more mod is a good thing.

Thanks Josh. I am sure I will be reading a thread about your 12 second run next week. Good luck.
