Thought this was interesting in the Bullitt website

www.bullittclub.com

Hey guys, I don't know how to include a link in here but I read some interesting stories in this website...Go to this website, click forums and click on "Bullitt tales". Read the post on "Lightning wants to runum". Some of the stories are funny... Some people amuse me in the most amazing ways

Sweet, they seem pretty respectful. Did you download that vid of the guy's bullitt racing the L. OUCH! That freakin truck was GONE! I kept looking at the bottom of the screen to see if he had his P. break on or something. Cool of him to post it though.

The Bullitt forum is very well run, and almost every member can be counted on to be respectful in their responses. Most are also very knowledgeable and helpful. I think some just have not had much contact with Lightnings and their performance capabilities, and like many of us judge the trucks as we do their cars, from poorly written magazine articles and stories spread by other mis-informed persons. Of course, I'm a bit biased, since I've had the pleasure of owning both vehicles, and think they are both pretty unique and both fill a "nick market". Not everyone wants a truck with Corvette-like performance numbers and drinks more gas than a locomotive, and not everyone sees the real differences between the Bullitt and the GT.

Boy, those guys are pretty full of themselves.

Let's see, our trucks cost $40K with all the "markup", they "shutdown" at 125 mph, and with a bad driver will lose to a Bullitt most of the time.

That's some funny stuff. I clicked on their "fastest Bullitts" link. My truck bone stock would be number 8 on their list. LOL
