Question to Sterio Gurus

I know there are a lot of guys out there with some pretty sweet sterio systems. My question is this, when you are at the track in the staging lane, do you crank up the power or shut it off to concentrate? Sounds weird but I just wana know if I'm the only one that does it.

I have a competition system in my SS and i know that at the track i flip the circut breaker on it to shut it down. Ive heard that the stereo draws a lot of current from the system and reduces the effectiveness of your alternator. The more current draw, the more power taken away from your motor. Of course this is what ive heard, but i dont actually have numbers to back it up. Its basically the same thing as turning off your HVAC system at the track.

If im sitting in the stageing lanes for a long time, ill turn on the sterio but turn off the subs. This way I can listen to tunes, and not worry about killing the battery too quick. Other wise it stays off.

I listen to mellow stuff in the staging lanes to calm down, then when I get close I turn everything off. I don't want to be into the rhythm of the music instead of the rhythm of the yellow lights.

CrazyFoo,

If you're gonna complain about a "sterio" than you should "list" to a spelling teacher yourself.

Now where did I put my spiel checker???
