Does anyone have a spare chrome cap that goes between the navigator chrome base and the antenna?

 

OK, I did not know anything about a chrome cap (mentioned by "Device Manager") - just ordered the base and the bumper plug yesterday. If I buy a billet antenna, do I need this chrome cap also??

Never mind - found them at Summit Racing.

 

Summit offers free shipping, but 7.50 handling on the chrome bolt caps, wtf??

Hey - you know I realized something at lunch today while walking thru the parking lot at work - Expeditions don't have an external antenna, or at least the two I looked at didn't. What's up with that??!!! If the Expy does not have an external antenna, why do the trucks and the Navis have them???

I noticed this while checking out an Explorer Limited that had a power antenna and was wondering if you could somehow make that one fit our trucks.

 

only older navis have the exterior antenna

yep - if the truck is ever wrecked, the antenna and the emblems are going!!

 

I put a reciver ball in the bumper cuz it looked better than a fugly hole, but like a week ago i finally got the bumper cap and painted it to match. Looks waaay better than just the gray plastic. Next I want to get a billet antennae and chrome navi cap. or i'll just paint the stock cap to match

 

What did you do for a antennae?
