The installation and dropping of the tranny (without a lift) were very successful and much much easier then expected. If anyone ever has any questions about how to drop their tranny just ask and I'd be happy to tell you, or ever provide a semi step by step.
Now for the good part.
The factory tech torq converter I am more then happy with. shifting in the 2600 rpm power band is big time SOTP feel. Thats all I can say. This truck really gets up and going with each shift, she used to bog down every once in a while between shifts but now,, now the engine is flashed with full power and I am loving it,,, especially with the 60 degree weather we've had lately.
Other good parts is the factory tech torq converter is a rebuilt stock converter. The factory tech uses the same core as a stock lightning does. This means that to get in there and void a tranny warrenty they would have to literally dig into the tranny, take out the torq converter and then split that open and see whats inside. At a very reasonable price, especially at the 1-2 shift the power is very nice and crisp. I'd reccomend this to anyone looking into getting some better 1/8 miles times.
On the other hand,, due to it being a stock torq converter core,,, it is around the same weight as stock,, thus having the same rotation mass, so no improvement there.
All in all I have a factory tech valve body,, jdm chip tuned for the valve body,, and now the torq converter. It hardly feels like I'm loosing power at all between shifts,,, probably couldn't shift better even if I had a manual.
Also for those of you reluctant to drop a tranny without a lift,, its not as hard as it initially sounds with our trucks. Although it is a pig of a tranny ( tranny jack adapter reccomended) the installation went rather well for the amount of time we had.

Easy way to get the top two bolts out.
Use a total of 36" of extensions and go at them from the very rear of the trans. Drop the rear of the trans down a couple of inches to better expose the bolts. Dropping the back of the trans down should give you a clear straight shot to the top two bolts. Use the extensions to reach the socket up there. Dont forget that there is a fuel line bracket that goes on the drivers side top trans bolt.
