New Lightning Diecast spotted last night!

Was shopping at Walmart last night, and always make a run through the toy aisles looking for anything new or cool. In the model aisle, there was a display box, with 1/43 scale Burago diecast models. Lo and Behold! A red lightning kit! I snatched that up right away. Checked it out when I got home, looks pretty detailed. I'm going to take off the red paint and do mine in black. Now if only I could find one of those huge New Bright 1/6 remote controlled trucks in black I'd be happy.

I just picked up one of those new bright Lightning R/C Trucks! They are neat! Not very fast, but the the headlamps, tail lights, and turn signals all work and look like the real thing! The engine sounds are WAY off though......no supercharger whine!
Im gonna sand it down and paint it black with a few coats of clear! Let the mods begin! Have we all lost our minds over our Lightnings?!! I was grinning ear to ear leaving Toys R Us yesterday........looked like a cartoon thief walking on my tip toes hunched over giggling all the way to the truck! Couldnt wait to get home and open my new prize!

I've gotten more interested in scale models after getting into the (full size) car and bike collecting hobby. So far, Maisto has supplied all three of my bikes (all 1/18 scale) but I'm still looking for similar sized models of my cars. The mustang should be easy, but the Tundra could be tougher. When I get all the scale models of my vehicles, I'm gonna put them on my desk, so I can see my collection, even when trapped at work...
