What is this noise? When im gunnin it and it shifts to second or third the exhaust rips a good one. i got stock exhaust on a 2000 L. is this normal, i dont really mind it i just dont know what it is. thanx in advance for the info.

 

Thats the fuel cut off between shifts.

It's Ford's programming in the computer. It drops 3 cylinders for 4/10ths of a second on the upshift under WOT to minimize torque strain on the transmission. A chip will fix this.
