WTF?
Why the hell build some throwback vehicle like that with some interesting styling then put some panty-waist engine in it that will only rival a PT Cruiser? Cheby has their head up thier A$$ first X'n the Camaro then this...LOL.
That truck is sweet, still like the L better though. Thanks for the post. Around here everybody was telling me how the Chevy SS truck will smoke my L. I just said bring it on, I'll believe it when I see it. Now with it 2 seconds slower in the 1/4, I doubt that they'll ever try it. Plus at that price. Damn, GM missed the boat again. If they drop it by 10K, it would be a good seller. Hopefully Ford reads these boards. Ford is right where they need to be w/ the L. 32,8xx base is perfect, for a SC truck like the L. Soon GM will wonder how they will recoupe all of that R&D, and what they can salvage. Don't they ever do a study to find out what people are willing to spend before building it? I guarentee that they will sell less than 4,000 of those/yr. And they thought that the F body was selling poorly.

SSR was supposed to have the 6.0L. Chevy drops the ball again.
If it comes down to changing the SC on the L for more power, or buying a Silverado SS and putting a blower on it, AWD and more cubic inches might be the deciding factor. Tough decision for me to make. Bleeding blue would make things simpler.

Did nobody else read the second page of that article? Here's a quote from the SSR PRODUCT MANAGER!
At least they know their place.

"This isn't a rival for the Ford SVT F-150 Lightning," says Walczyk.

Yes I did read it. It really was supposed to go against the L. When the weight came in at 4600 LBS they changed their tune. That is 1000 LBS heavier than they thought. They only thing they kept was the price for a GM that supposed to go against an L. hehehehe. Like I said the SSR manager should be looking for a new job, because he surely won't keep his position for long. Mark my words. For over $38,000 it will be a flop. Let me guess, nobody here would actually pay that much for it.
